Rustic Chic with Greenary
A historic landmark building, The Arlington Hotel is situated on the banks of the Grand River, amongst the quaint landscape of a picturesque little town of Paris in Southern Ontario. What better way to honour it's rustic-chic spirit than to style a wedding shoot that incorporates an eclectic juxtaposition of delicate softness and industrial modernity? Using the efflorescent brick wall and honey plank floors as the backdrop, an intimate ceremony site featured a lavish mantel adorned with deep green foliage and cream floral accents that basked in the warm glow of glass-encased pillar candles. The intimate table setting showcased a blush tablecloth, lace-inspired charger plates, crystal candleholders and metallic accents such as pedestal vases, gold pattern vintage china and silverware. Layered sheer drapery framed the tablescape beautifully, and the cream and blush toned colour scheme was incorporated into loosely arranged floral centrepieces for a romantic feel. A brass tea trolley exhibited savoury sweets and a deco-glam ivory gold cake. Invitations and hand written stationary were created using deckle edge cotton paper and a whimsical dove grey calligraphy typeface to keep with a lighter feel. Oh what wondrously divine contradistinctions!
